Grand Paris Nord would house huge medical facility but faces local opposition
The planned Grand Paris Nord University Hospital is one step closer to existence, following the publication of an official declaration of intent by France’s research ministry last week.
The campus is intended to combine the current medical-surgical activities of Bichat-Claude Bernard University Hospital in Paris and Beaujon Hospital in the suburban town of Clichy on a single site. It has been under planning since 2015, and four possible designs were submitted for final selection earlier this year.
