National Research Agency gets €1.2bn budget in 2021

Next year’s €444m boost is part of funding increase to sweeten LPPR reform

The board of directors of France’s National Research Agency (ANR) has adopted the agency’s 2021 budget, including a funding increase of €444 million.

Announced on 27 November by the ministry for higher education and research, the budget provides a total of €1.19 billion to finance research projects next year—the largest amount since the agency was first founded in 2006.
