École Polytechnique approves sale of land for controversial development
The board of the engineering school École Polytechnique has approved a sale of land on the Paris-Saclay research cluster to luxury goods company LVMH, best known for its fashion brand Louis Vuitton.
The approval removes the final obstacle in the way of LVMH from constructing a research centre, called LVMH Gaia, which the company has said would house up to 300 researchers.
