EU chemical-risk project to pilot national hub in France

Backed by €400 million, Parc aims to bring diverse actors together on chemical safety

Public Health France and the French health and safety agency Anses have launched a joint call for participants to form the first national hub for the Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals, a €400 million EU-wide project.

Designed to improve skills in chemical risk assessment, Parc was submitted by Public Health France and Anses and other European partners in response to a call from the European Commission’s Horizon Europe funding programme. It has been assigned a budget of €400m and is set to operate for seven years. It will be financed half by the European Union and half by member states.
