Academic ethics remains live issue, report warns

Questions of professional ethics, scientific integrity and deontology remained “delicate” in French institutions of higher education and research in 2021, according to the annual report of the College of Ethics for Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

Despite the coronavirus pandemic causing periodic closures, 2021 was nonetheless “marked by regular exchanges with the French Office of Scientific Integrity”, it said in a statement.
