Better career prospects and pay top list of principles proposed by biggest German funder
Young scientists should have predictable career prospects, adequate pay and be able to combine work and family, according to Germany’s largest public research funder.
On 29 March the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) published a list of principles to create better working conditions of pre- and postdoc researchers. The DFG does not employ scientists directly, but it said that as a funder it sees itself responsible for their wellbeing.
