Rhine region to see €90m worth of ‘strategic cooperation’

Coronavirus recovery fund will pay for innovation networks and campuses in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe

A life science campus in the Rhine-Neckar region, the University of Stuttgart and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology will each benefit from a €90 million fund aimed at boosting cooperation.

The money, provided as part of Covid-19 recovery funding from the state of Baden-Württemberg, will pay for a science innovation campus and the creation of a cooperation network between the state’s university hospitals. The mobility innovation campus at the University of Stuttgart and the KIT will also benefit from the fund, the state’s research ministry revealed last week.
