Norway’s government bullish on Horizon Europe association

Participation in EU R&D programmes of ‘great importance’, says research minister

The Norwegian government has indicated that it wants Norway to maintain its associate membership of EU R&D programmes, as the bloc nears an agreement on rules for non-EU participation in its 2021-27 R&D programme, Horizon Europe.

The government said on 7 October that it had set aside 827 million Norwegian kroner (€75.8m) for participation in Horizon Europe, as it presented its national budget for 2021.
