Spain claims top spot in latest Marie Curie funding round

Spanish government says country won €23 million of up to €100m in total

Spain won more funding than any other country from the final Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions funding round of the EU’s 2014-20 Horizon 2020 R&D programme, the country’s government has said.

The MSCA call allocated up to €100 million over five years to 19 doctoral and 24 postdoctoral researcher training programmes from 11 EU member states and three countries associated to Horizon 2020, the European Commission announced on 4 February.
