Rectors’ conference aiming to “avoid by all means” Swiss exclusion from EU programmes

Universities in Switzerland have warned that the country’s research, innovation and education organisations are in danger of again being shut out of EU programmes, as they were in 2014.

On 17 May, the Swiss Universities rectors’ conference called on Switzerland’s federal government to continue long-running talks with the EU on an overarching trade and cooperation agreement between the country and the bloc.
