ERC refreshes gender equality plan for Horizon Europe


Funder plans to identify “ambassadors” for equality and encourage more data on submissions

The European Research Council—the EU’s flagship funder of fundamental research—has updated its gender equality plan for the bloc’s 2021-27 R&D programme, Horizon Europe.

Published on 7 June, the plan is intended to help the ERC fulfil its mission to “support excellent frontier researchers across Europe, irrespective of nationality, gender or age”.
