Commission says staff running European Research Council are “key asset” but must use resources better

Stretched staff at the European Research Council Executive Agency, which runs the operations of the EU’s top funder, must find ways to work more efficiently, the European Commission has said.

Ercea’s staff are overworked and putting off holidays to stay on schedule amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the ERC’s interim president Jean-Pierre Bourguignon told Research Professional News.
