Decision on access to security-sensitive EU technology R&D calls expected soon
The European Commission is weighing up assurances from the UK that the country has the right regulations in place to join collaborative EU R&D projects on sensitive space and quantum technologies.
Research Professional News understands the Commission sent a list of questions to the UK government over the summer as the EU weighs up the benefits of continuing to collaborate with the former member state and other non-EU countries on sensitive technologies, against a perceived need to do more to protect its economic and security interests.
