Research committee alleges “mismanagement” of European Innovation Council equity fund
The European Parliament’s research committee has called on the European Commission to “reassess” its implementation of the EU’s innovation fund for startups and switch to a “proper” way of managing its equity-based investments.
The fund is part of the European Innovation Council, which draws together various funding instruments as part of the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. It launched in 2020 and provides a blend of grants and equity-based investments to support the growth of technology-based businesses.
