Some winners of 2021 European Innovation Council funding are still awaiting their money
The European Commission has defended a further delay in providing funding to some companies via the EU’s European Innovation Council, a major part of the bloc’s Horizon Europe R&D programme.
On 10 May, the Commission confirmed that some winners of EIC funding face “an additional delay from the end of April to the end of May/early June, which is necessary to ensure that all legal requirements concerning granting this kind of financial support are met”.
