‘Take more risks,’ Gabriel urges EU-funded R&I partnerships

EU reducing number of Horizon Europe research and innovation partnerships while boosting their overall budget

EU-funded research and innovation partnerships should “take more risks”, the bloc’s R&I commissioner has said.

Mariya Gabriel (pictured) gave the push in the foreword to a European Commission overview of the partnerships, published on 16 May, which is designed to give a baseline for assessing their performance every two years.
