Consultants seek narrower calls to cut Horizon Europe rejections

   

European Association of Innovation Consultants fears new applicants will become demotivated

Funding calls from the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme should be given a narrower focus to raise success rates among applicants, a group of innovation consultants has said.

“We urge the commission to consider restricting the focus of topics when the budget available cannot meet a large part of applicants’ expectations,” which carries the risk that it will “demotivate newcomers”, the European Association of Innovation Consultants said on 29 July.
