Horizon Europe funding for EU green design scheme doubled

Commission earmarks over €100 million for New European Bauhaus in 2023 and 2024

The European Commission has doubled the flow of funding to the EU’s sustainable design initiative from the bloc’s Horizon Europe R&D programme, by committing over €100 million over the next two years.

The New European Bauhaus was launched in 2020 with the aim of translating the EU’s sustainability agenda into tangible changes that impact people’s daily lives, such as in architecture, public spaces, fashion and furniture.
