Most EU countries back cloud computing initiative

Initiative will combine private, national and EU investment in cloud infrastructure and services

An initiative to encourage investment in EU-based cloud computing services that can be used by companies and governments has won the support of 25 EU countries.

Every EU member state, except Cyprus and Denmark, signed a declaration promising to invest in internet-based computer services, such as data processing and storage, for the benefit of private and public users.
