ESS adjusting to new construction plan while Iter maintains “steady progress” after director’s death

Major European research facilities have reported progress on their construction, despite facing major challenges.

The European Spallation Source, an international particle accelerator research facility, and Iter, which is expected to be the world’s largest experimental fusion-energy facility, both provided construction updates in recent days.
