EU concerned about crises hitting research infrastructures

Member states could be asked to consider responses to challenges such as high energy costs

The EU is worried about how crises such as the bloc’s current high energy costs could affect its research infrastructures.

A draft ministerial position on research infrastructures, published on 19 September, has been revised to call on EU member states and the European Commission to “elaborate on scenarios to respond to possible upcoming crises, including energy supply difficulties”.
