Group criticises “unreasonable” expulsion from European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures
A learned society in Switzerland has called for the country to regain access to the body that coordinates European research infrastructure policy, after it lost formal membership due to the EU excluding it from association to the bloc’s R&D programme.
“Switzerland has lost an important means of contributing to the shaping of the European research landscape” in being kicked out of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (Esfri), the Swiss Academy of Sciences said on 4 January.
