Lobby group backs use of state aid mechanism and industry-led collaboration
The industry lobby group Business Europe has called on the EU to provide more support for companies to invest in R&D, to help ensure the “long-term competitiveness” of the bloc.
In a 15 February position paper on the EU’s industrial strategy, the group said “more should be done to encourage public and private investment” in large research projects, such as by supporting more Important Projects of Common European Interest.
