Commission kicks off 11 public-private R&D partnerships

Partnerships worth €22 billion include work on European Open Science Cloud and artificial intelligence

The European Commission has launched 11 public-private research and innovation partnerships that will receive €8 billion from the EU’s Horizon Europe R&D programme for work on technology development.

The European Partnerships, launched on 14 June, will work on areas including artificial intelligence, light technologies, low-carbon steel production, batteries and the European Open Science Cloud platform for research-data sharing.
