Universities question appointment of EU innovation agency to lead on training one million people

University groups have cast doubt on the setup of the EU’s initiative to train a million people in deep tech—R&D-intensive advanced technologies—over the next three years.

The Deep Tech Talent Initiative, aimed at tackling skills shortages, is being led by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, an EU agency that builds and supports networks of organisations involved in innovation.
