Launch of European Health Data Space intended “to achieve a quantum leap forward” in healthcare

The European Commission has launched a new initiative to improve access to health data across the EU for activities including research.

Launching the European Health Data Space on 3 May, Commission vice-president Margaritis Schinas said it would bring about “a new beginning for the EU’s digital health policy, making health data work for citizens and science”.
