Science foundation announces future frontiers funding

More than 70 early-career and advanced researchers benefit from grants bonanza

A total of 71 research grants have been made under the Irish Science Foundation’s Frontiers for the Future Programme, with a combined total value of €53 million.

Announced on 2 November by science minister Simon Harris, the awards will go to 12 higher education institutions across Ireland. The awards cover a wide range of projects in health, novel materials, smart manufacturing, horse breeding and other areas.
