Further education plan focuses on inclusion

Five-year roadmap to address women in academia, the digital divide and transferable skills

Inclusion will play an essential part in a strategy developed to streamline the provision of Ireland’s further education and training programmes.

The five-year strategy was launched on 16 July by research and education minister Simon Harris and minister of state Niall Collins, both based in the department of further and higher education, research, innovation and science. The strategy seeks to overcome issues such as the digital divide, female participation in further education and the skills mismatch that affects jobs opportunities.
