Government funds extra places to fill demand for health degrees

  

Along with more student places, education department announces grade algorithm to cope with Covid-19

The minister for higher education Simon Harris has received government approval to open 1,250 additional student places in Ireland’s universities and institutes of technology.

The move, announced on 1 September, is an attempt to smooth out difficulties encountered by higher education institutions and students seeking ways to cope with Covid-19.
