Anvur’s compilation of publications, which determines Italian professorships, must be more transparent
Italian sociologists are demanding more insight into a push to update the list of scientific journals in the field, which will impact the evaluation of researchers and the granting of professorships.
The Italian Association of Sociology (AIS) published an open letter earlier this month, addressed to the country’s national research evaluation agency, Anvur. The sociologists demanded more transparency for the process of updating the list of journals, as well as a sub-list of top scientific journals, the so-called Fascia A.
