Government seeking to bring back hundreds of researchers from overseas with support package

The Italian government has allocated €600 million to reverse the brain drain of talented researchers moving abroad with the aim of bringing back up to 900 who have left. 

“It’s an important investment, because we want to attract young scholars,” minister of University and Research Maria Cristina Messa told the Senate on 26 May.
