Dutch AI coalition wins €23.5m ‘kick-start’ subsidy

Government funding will help Netherlands prepare for artificial intelligence revolution

An update to the Dutch digitisation strategy has freed up €23.5 million in funding for the AI Coalition, a group of industry, government and academic partners engaged in artificial intelligence research.

The funding will be made available by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The AI Coalition, which has around 140 partners, said the funds would support its mission of helping Dutch people embrace the inevitable rise of AI in the next 10 years, while enhancing prosperity and competitiveness.
