Number and quality of project proposals leads to increased budget for subsidy scheme

The Dutch interior ministry has made an extra €30 million available for subsidies to stimulate the transition to green energy in the urban environment.

The subsidy programme Mooi—which stands for mission-driven research, development and innovation—funds collaborative climate projects in four areas: offshore wind energy, onshore renewable electricity, built environment and industry. The extra funding takes the subsidies available for the built environment from €27 million to €57m, in order to finance what the ministry called “a wealth of good-quality projects”.
