2021 promises boost for Dutch innovation, but observers fear lack of direction could derail efforts

The Dutch government’s national budget for 2021 contains an increase in funding for innovation across the board, according to the latest data.

The budget, which was released earlier this month, will award almost €750 million in extra support for business innovation. This specific cash injection, the government said, should contribute to economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
