Group aims to boost innovation by connecting academics to manufacturers, engineers and lobby groups
Three large research organisations are to provide €5.4 million to a conglomerate of research institutes to research how microplastics in the environment affect human health.
The conglomerate, dubbed Momentum, is expected to use the money to fill knowledge gaps in the topic. Microplastics, resulting from the degradation of plastic waste in the environment, have diffused widely into the environment, including food.
