Programme launched to turn postdocs into entrepreneurs

Dutch Faculty of Impact offers two years of mentorship and funding to develop business ideas

Universities in the Netherlands have teamed up to provide postdoctoral researchers with opportunities to turn ideas from their research into marketable products.

The Faculty of Impact programme, established earlier this month, will start by picking 10 candidates for 2021, who will meet mentors and work on their ideas from October—in the hope that the coronavirus pandemic has subsided by then. The programme will support 10 candidates every year and is open to applicants from all academic fields.
