EU ministers back Dutch plan for Covid recovery funds

Financing worth €4.7 billion will support economic growth and climate adaptation

The EU has given the go-ahead to the Netherlands’ plan for how to spend Covid-19 recovery funding.

The Council of the EU, which brings together economy and finance ministers from member nations, announced on 4 October that it had approved the Dutch government’s proposals to spend €4.7 billion in Next Generation EU grants to support economic recovery and climate adaptation in the Netherlands.
