Debating their findings publicly could give social scientists in the Netherlands more influence
The social sciences council of the KNAW academy of sciences has published a brochure in which it offers 10 tips to increase the social impact of research in the Netherlands. One of those tips is very simple: share, share, share.
According to the council, social scientists and humanities scholars could use their research much more effectively to positively influence social practices and political processes. But many of them lack the tools and strategies to do this, the council warned.
