Dutch researchers reaped Horizon 2020 rewards, analysis shows

                 

Researchers in the Netherlands received the largest average share of EU research programme’s funding

Under the EU’s 2014-20 R&D programme Horizon 2020, researchers in the Netherlands received an average of €170,000 in funding per full-time equivalent.

This was the highest share among EU member states of the available European funding for public sector researchers. Belgian researchers were the second-largest beneficiaries, receiving €121,000, and Swedish researchers were in third place with around €100,000.
