Swedish university proposes to change names of buildings and laboratories with links to racism

Karolinska Institutet, which chooses the winners of the Nobel prize in medicine or physiology is nearing a decision after a 13-year long debate about its historical legacy.

A working group established by the institution last year proposes that it should refrain from naming major features, such as buildings, laboratories, halls or roads after individual people and that existing names should be removed.
