Government wants to increase researchers’ involvement in EU programmes to strengthen national R&D performance

Sweden has set out plans to boost its researchers’ success in the EU’s Horizon Europe R&D programme and strengthen its national science base.

On 8 October, the Ministry of Education released a strategy for Swedish participation in Horizon Europe, setting a goal for Swedish researchers to win at least 3.7 per cent of the grants available from the €95.5 billion Horizon Europe programme, which runs from 2021 to 2027.
