Deficiencies in system for proving coronavirus vaccination is stalling cooperation, council warns

Norway’s University and College Council (UHR) has urged the country’s ministry of emergency preparedness to simplify Covid-19 vaccination certification in order to support international academic exchange.

The UHR said in a letter on 16 November that the Norwegian government should set up a more efficient scheme for processing the vaccine certification of non-European academics coming to Norway for exchange and scientific projects. This was particularly important for university collaboration to resume, as Norway emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic, the council wrote.
