Norway told to up internationalisation efforts

Number of students from global south is in decline, according to the latest data

The Norpart programme, which supports academic collaboration and student exchange between Norway and developing countries, has presided over a decline in international students, a report has found.

According to the report, undertaken by consulting company Ideas2evidence, Norpart has failed in its mission to up internationalisation at Norwegian universities, partly because it was hamstrung by the country’s parliament, the Storting.
