Denmark issues plan to reopen universities

Students and researchers will return in April—but restrictions on lectures and lab capacity remain

Danish universities will open their doors from 6 April onwards, according to a detailed lockdown emergence plan issued by the government on 23 March.

Courses that rely on practical elements, such as laboratory research and access to equipment, will open with a 50 per cent attendance rate, according to the plan. All other courses will also reopen, but with only 20 per cent attendance to ensure students and staff can continue to physically distance.
