Higher education institutions are failing to stem flow to private companies, survey shows
A survey conducted by the Norwegian Association of Researchers, the Forskerforbundet, has revealed that more than half of temporary academics are considering switching to a business career.
This is because researchers on fixed-term contracts find it too difficult to get a permanent job in the country, the survey showed. The Forskerforbundet called for measures to be implemented to prevent an “exodus” from the academic world.
