Danish graduates concerned over lack of business savvy

Survey finds that budding academics struggle to compete in labour market due to skills mismatch

A survey undertaken by Denmark’s research and education ministry has shown that four out of 10 graduates find the transition to the labour market to be difficult.

Around 24 per cent of the 14,500 respondents said they lacked the skills to be a competitive employee for businesses or could not apply most of the knowledge they had obtained at university. More than a third said they struggled to explain to employers what they could do and where exactly their competencies lie.
