Universities voice concerns over removal of funding subsidy for less popular degrees in 2023 budget

Universities in Denmark have expressed dismay at proposals to cut additional funding for humanities and social science courses as part of the country’s latest Finance Act.

The act, announced on 31 August, proposes spending 27 billion Danish kroner (€3.6bn) on research and education in 2023—a figure the Danish government called a “historic high”.
