Norway sets aside more than 1bn kroner for AI research

The funds will be managed by the Research Council of Norway

The Norwegian government plans to provide at least one billion kroner (almost €87m) over the next five years for research into artificial intelligence and digital technology.

The government believes AI is going to change society to such an extent that it is crucial for Norway to ensure that the development takes place in line with the values it supports.
