Belarus education reforms must pause, say European groups

University and student groups condemn actions of Belarusian government towards academics

Belarusian participation in a Eurasian higher education reform process should be put on hold due to the political and social upheaval in the country, the European University Association and European Students’ Union have said.

Continuing Belarusian participation in the Bologna Process would be “inappropriate and simply impossible under these present circumstances”, the EUA and ESU said on 2 November.
