Ministry aims to address shortcomings in Spanish science system with draft laws

Spain’s ministry of science has launched a public consultation on proposed regulation intended to promote a “stable career” for researchers.

The ministry said on 24 November it is seeking feedback on draft laws that include the creation of an equivalent to a ‘tenure track’ for researchers. It is also considering amendments to a 2011 regulation on the sharing of research outputs—a move meant to boost innovation.
